Hope

For the past month, the one verse that I keep coming back to is Jeremiah 29:11.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

I read this verse and am reminded of just how much God loves each and every one of us so much that he has great plans for us all. He wants us all to have hope and to not be worried about what lies ahead of us, because regardless of how we get to our wonderful and blissful futures, the end product will be well worth the wait.

What sundays are for

Sundays are for early mornings and good coffee. They're for brunch with family and laughing and enjoying each other's beloved company. Sundays are for last minute homework and watching wedding shows on TV.
They're for worshipping Jesus in a body full of people that all strive to be like Him. Sundays are for surrendering to God and letting him carry you through your problems. He wouldn't put you through it if he didn't know that you can handle it. I love God and I love that he will never ever abandon his children.

Good Morning!

I am so in love with the morning. As I sit here with my steel cut oatmeal and hot coffee, I just want to thank God for everything that he has done for me. I know that He has a plan for me, a better plan than anything I could ever imagine. Patience is key. God loves you more than any other sole human being on this planet could ever love you. He will never abandon you, and you can't forget that. So thank you God for giving me such a beautiful life.

Simplicity

Today was for sleeping in and also spending 4 hours at my work ( I work at a paint your own pottery studio) painting a new coffee mug with one of my roommates. Today was for peanut m&m's and spaghettios and a cold iced tea while having an X-Men marathon.

The beginning....

Well, this is my first blog post on my first real blog! I'm very elated to be able to share my thoughts, words, and interests on here. My blog name on here, whatremmysaid, is a play on a Death Cab For Cutie Song entitled, "What Sarah Said". Death Cab is one of my most beloved bands and as a writer and lover of literature, I do believe that what I have to say is of some importance.

I should let you know that I am at a very hard time in my life right now, and that I am turning to God because he is my father and I am his child, and he will carry me when life's burdens seem too impossible to manage.

In the past 7 months, I have been raped twice, beaten by my ex-boyfriend of a year, and made some life decisions that I am not proud of at all. I want to turn over a new leaf, and start over fresh and new, with God at the center of my life. But seeing as it is 1:18 on a brisk Friday morning, I think I'm going to climb into bed with a hot cup of coffee to calm my nerves and help me fall asleep.

Good night lovelies!
